How far is appropriate to walk a 12 week old husky puppy?

QuestionsHow far is appropriate to walk a 12 week old husky puppy?

I need to find ways to burn energy for my young husky puppy.  I used to hike 5 miles every day with my previous husky (as an adult) but know I can’t walk a puppy that far. How far is too far for my puppy? I can’t seem to tire her out and I know a tired dog is a good dog.  I find it hard to believe that a dog with as much energy as she has should only go “1 minute for every week of age”– that is nowhere near enough exercise!)  I  have a friend who brings her dog over for the two to play, but she can’t do that every day.

Hi Dawg, sorry for the delay. I imagine my response will be irrelevant to you but it may help others searching for answers to the same question.
A general rule when walking a puppy is five minutes per month of age. This helps prevent any damage to the dogs bones as they grow.
